Computer keeps shuttinf off HELP

Guys anyone know whye my pc keeps shutting off? It began this afternoon, every time I load up my computer it shuts off... thinking its a virus I put in my windows disck to repair it.... during the repair while the system is copying files it shuts off constatntly again... I don't know what to do now

Can you get it into safe mode when starting up?

Just keep hitting F8 while it starts up.

Could be a fan problem that's causing it to overheat, or even more likely-a failling power supply(quite common).

It could be alot of problems with your pc.
What you need my friend is the ultimatebootcd.

The cd comes with all these diagnostic tools for you to test your pc.
Website has plenty of tutorials on the side as well.

I would first test the memory out, after that the hard drive.
If both the memory and hdd pass the diagnostics than its most likely what ttinco said, Which would be a failing power supply.
Does your hdd make any noises?
I mean grinding or high pitched whines?

Random shutoffs are a sign of:

Overheating
Dieing HD
Dieing graphics card
Dieing RAM
